Cancel your subscription first. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription, because Apple bills it. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Chickpea and tap Cancel Subscription.
Option 1: delete in the app (fastest)
- Open Chickpea and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab and tap the gear (Settings).
- Under Data & privacy, tap Delete all my data & account and confirm.
No subscription? On the subscription screen, tap Account at the bottom, then Delete account. If you signed in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm once more, so Chickpea’s access to your Apple ID ends too.
Deletion is permanent, takes effect straight away and can’t be undone.
Option 2: ask us by email
If you can’t open the app, email support@joinchickpea.com with “Delete my account” in the subject line, from the email address on your account, so we can confirm it’s you. If you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, write from your Apple relay address, or tell us roughly when you signed up. We will confirm by email once your account and data are deleted.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in details
- Your preferences, diet and allergies
- All food logs and meal photos
- All cycle and symptom entries
- Your reminders, meal plans, shopping lists, saved recipes and favorites
- Feedback you sent from the app
- Your customer record at RevenueCat, our subscription provider
What isn’t deleted
- Apple’s own records of your purchases, which Apple keeps under its own policies.
- Emails you sent to our support address. Ask us and we will delete them too.
- Transaction records (product, price, date and country), without your name or email address, where accounting or tax law requires us to keep them.
Copies in our database backups are overwritten within 30 days. For the full details, see our privacy policy.
